As the web has spread across the world, more and more web
pages are available in languages other than English. Sometimes
you may reach a web page which is written in non-native
language. If you have a translation software installed in your
computer, it's kind of a hassle to copy the text and bring up
the translation software interface, and then paste in the
content. What you need is a way to translate the page online.
There is a simple way to do this if you have the 'FireFox With
Google Toolbar' installed already.
1) Installation: Follow this link [
] and
click on the 'Download FireFox with Google Toolbar' button to
download and install step by step.
2) Setup: When the first time FireFox starts up, click on
the 'Settings' -> 'Options' -> 'Translate Menu'
3) Then you can see the 'Translate' button appears in
the Google Toolbar. While getting to a non-English page, just
select "Translate Page into English" from the Toolbar's
Translate menu to view French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Korean pages in
English.
4) Another feature: You can use the
WordTranslator feature to translate English words on a web
page into another language. Select "Enable WordTranslator"
from the Translate menu, then simply hover your mouse cursor
over an English word to view its translation. WordTranslator
supports translation from English into French, German,
Italian, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified),
Japanese, and Korean.
